Roll cage
been offered a full bolt in cage for my series two for £170 off my mate cuz he needs money quik. good buy u reckon? and where do they bolt to? do i need to drill through the car? if so, was gunna hav it welded in in a way it could be removed again if needs be?

You will see the cage isnt bolted to the car floor,but to brackets.These brackets are welded to the floor.Regards,Micky

seem a good price mate but i bought a full bolt in cage of a mate last year and i got it for £100
got to say i was very happy when he said i could here it for that
yeah seen it in ur sig, was gunna ask u bout it. how much are they worth? hes tryin to sell it for a stupid price but said i could hav it for that. and as for insurance, what fuckin roll cage!? i pay £1300 tpft!!!!!!!!

I would say its worth about £100 to £150 depends if its in good nick or not, as for the insurers it did not cost me any more or any less
and as for how much you pay mate
i payed £1600 a year thrid party fire and theft when i was 20 years old now i am 23 it cost me this year £734 a year tpft with all mod ie wheels cage i told them every thing

It's alright saying "I'll take it out before they see it" but you never know whether you will get chance to...dependant on the accident/ circumstances.
Find out first mate. If your insurance is due soon then ring round and see if anyone will give you cover at no extra cost for having a roll cage. There is a lot more around nowadays regarding modifying and lots more people do trackdays and shows. Some insurance companies now recognise this and don't all think if you have a rollcage fitted, you're gonna take risks driving knowing a rollcage wil help should you roll your car. Lots of people fit them for looks only and some insurers recognise this & don't penalise as much/if at all as they maybe used to.
