Default Koni Damper Settings

I've just bought a new Koni damper kit for my 2wd Sapphire Cosworth and want to know what settings people use for both the front and rear dampers for fast road use?...

I've been recommended to have the fronts on hardest and rears on medium settings but have recently heard the opposite way round too!!!!

I had a new set of spax on my 2wd, bought them 4 months ago. Had the rears on hard, fronts on medium, but after racing an m3 and beating it, the front tyres met the arches, so adjusted them up so they were 75% hard, and the rears on 100% hard, back doesnt move at all, and helps when you want to kick the arse end out

am changing to koni's tomorrow, gonna swap em over, as the car sits high at the front on spax,

ill probly go the same, hard on the back and medium to hard on the front. that way the back wont squat too much, and atleast i can have some sort of control over where the front end goes.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Yeah it sounds like the rears on medium is the way to go... although i don't want it to squat too much!!!

The adjustment of the Konis is just on rebound, so that doesn,t affect compression on hard acceleration anyway ! You need a 2-way adjustable damper to be able to adjust compression.

Freind of mine has just had steve scott put new suspension on his and he has put konis on front and bilistien on back as he says that konis on the rear are not the best also dont set the back to hard as it will mak it a pain in the arse to drive in the wet
