Presumably you're already running a virus scanner which brought up the message. Disconnect from the network/internet and run a full virus scan. Make sure your virus scanner is up to date first though.

Bill,

Not too technical, so I didn't understand all of that!

Is this a lot of work involved - really don't want to fuck this computer up!

try Stinger from Mcafee.

Search for McAfee Stinger in Google.

Ade - Stinger was good.

Found two worm viruses, and repaired them.

Still wont cure the original Trojan virus though

format / reinstall

failing that, i would do a search on the net regarding this particular virus and read the removal instructions.

some viruses are a bit nasty to get rid of, and may require booting in safe mode and editing the registry.

good luck tho!

Download evaluation version of Sophos

www.sophos.com

Gives full easy instructions on how to remove trojans

Also check that the trojan isn't running in the background, if it is you have to stop it, using 'Processes' dead easy to remove and quarantine then.

Also switch off System Restore while you are deleting it and turn off AVG if you download Sophos
