Default anyone know about mitsubishi pajeros

as above 2.4 (i think) diesel old shape import, My mum had her other half change the turbo as it was fecked (no internals left) he replaced it with a decent second hand unit and in his wide experience after he fitted it he removed the inlet hose to the inlet housing and filled it with oil
Now as you can expect its a wee bit smokey. and about a month on nothing has changed. what can I use to get rid or stop it smoking or is there a chance that he has fooked the turbo??

that would have filled all the pipes/intercooler/inlet with oil and it'll be smoking forever.

try disconnecting the pipe between inlet/intercooler and see if it still smokes as bad after a bit of running, be be carful of anything getting sucked into the pipes.

the intercooler is right on top of those engines iirc and not hard to remove, might be worth taking it off and seeing how much oil comes out.
