Default Leaky garage

Been thinking about getting a mint series 1 now for a while but i have a slight concern

My garage leaks Now the water runs down the back of the garage, just in the corners and the roof soaks up the water also So obviously when it rains you go in the garage and the floor is damp and it smells damp. I have got some tarpaulin up so any drips from the roof run down this and out towards the door

BUT, my question is............ will this have an effect on the car? Especially as it will be sat in the garage for about 8 months of the year

Get the garage roof sorted and keep your nice S1 in a dry clean and grot free garage.

Won't do it much good damp invites the old tin worm. If you're moving and don't want to fix the garage wait till you move.

Might be worth getting it sorted though as it shouldn't cost much and a dry garage will be a bonus when trying to sell up than a leaky one

My next house is being brought on the garage space or the space for me to build one.

It will definately affect the car mate!

I once parked my car in my parents garage, early october, car was very clean, bone dry and the garage didnt leak.
I went to check on it mid november and it was dripping with moisture underneath!!!

Could you fit a carcoon in the garage?

if it's got a flat roof then go down your local builders merchants and buy a tarp(Ł20-Ł30) big enough to cover the garage then weigh it down on the roof with bricks and secure it around the facia with 2x1 baton.
its a quick fix but will work

Ok ill give the tarp ago over the roof.

With regards to the underside, will it start to rot?

If theres damp in there the air will become humid and yes, you will get rust!

completely dry and where possible warm is the only way
