Hi...!

Three guys... 'racing' in a two lane road. stupidity... And I got the most damage.
New hood/helm, new radiator and new left headlight (again)

Well.. The 'front' (The metal the headlights is under, and the helm rests on) got a big dent (?)
The question is, we think of welding a new one in, and is the 1.3-1.8 MK5 'metalbridge' the same as rs2000 mk5 piece? Instead of trying to make the other look nice again...

in the norwegian catalogs for that kind of thing. it is called frontplate and it cost in norway -94 about 800 nok i think. but i thougt you danes had your own catalogpage on the net for this? klokkerholm? maybe the name was im not sure

I think we have a catalog, but I've not checked... :-/

I only asked, if the mk5 Escort 'frontplate' is the same as the RS2000 mk5 'frontplate'? If it's the same, we have "billions" of Escort's to take spareparts from, namely the 'frontplate'... And it would be easier for me to find a mk5 Escort sparepart car, instead of a mk5 RS2000 sparecar

But are you SURE it's the same.. The idea was ofcourse to cut the whole 'frontplate' away, from side to side.. and weld a fresh 'new' one in.

Because I ask, is because of the radiator and stuff? if it's the same holes and stuff?

 

i'm not 100% but i think it's odd that i'm the only one who reaplyed to this topic. must be someone else out there who knows to

Hi guys, i've got a rs2000 right in front of me and i have checked if it's the same, and it is.
I'm 100% sure it will fit!

 

So you have checked the mk5 and RS2000 mk5, and it fits?.. But not the headlights, am I right?

But we've come to that point, that we'll try it anyways!
