I got a Canon IXUS 40
its about a year or two old now but is 4 megapixel and still produces good quality photo's
but now the newer 5,6,7,8 megapixel models can be had from around 110 quid
heres some pics at medium quality and resolution. The only pics i got at the moment to show you, theyre possibly scaled down by photoshop i cant remember.

depends wot u want one for - i go for small flat pocket sized ones as i cant do with carrying clobber around - minimum 5 meg pixel, i think i'm getting a samsung i6 next - its £129 on amazon, has mp3 okayer on it too plus the memory cards are what my phone & laptop uses too so it suits my purpose.

How much did you pay for it dojj??
i paid £330 all in for it with 2 gig worth of memory too
but this was in india where they are a bit priceier
i've seen them on the net for as low as about £240 and then they go up to about the £280-90 mark form more reputable outlets like amazon etc

i've got a black one
but there are some good prices there, even duty free they were upwards of about the £220 mark and i bought mine from sony with a 5 year warranty so i'm willing to pay the extra for that

I would go for the smallest camera that you can get. That way there is no excuse for not dragging it around and getting the snaps you want.

PM 'Bezo' on here, he's got a belter for sale for £350, Curries/Comet have just reduced the same camera to £499,
There is cock all wrong with it, just the posh cunt wants to upgrade.

Canon IS S3. I have the S2 (previous version) and theres not alot different between the S2 and S3 part from the S3 is slightly better. 5mp (6mp for the S3) and 12x optical zoom makes a fantastic camera, great in all light and only £240

The only problem is its not very compact, but the whole camera is much much better than a compact camera so you can understand why ts a bit bigger.
Some random pics i have taken with my S2 :

plus takes great video too (that was low res to save space on the memory card) :

Got a Kodak Easyshare DX4530 and have used it for well over 10,000 pictures - many of them are fantastic too
thats just for quicksnapping tho. For something a bit fancy with a few features, I bought a Megexon C450 or whatever the model is, cost me 80 quid second hand and is a cheepy digital SLR style camera - takes some nice pictures and has a lot of settings.
Currently saving up for a Canon EOS400d - they are going for about £500 with a lens and delivery etc etc and is a fantatsic entry level Professional Digital SLR

I just bought one of these today at Costco for £140 - also got a 1Gb Memory Stick Duo for £23.
