my girlfriend asked me the other day what i wanted for christmas.

i mentioned i would like new speakers for my car and now she is pestering me for what ones to get?

i have to use the car for work everyday, so cant start taking it to bits but i need to know what size speakers fit in the standard positions in a 4x4 saff?

i want to be able to retain the original door cards and grills in the back, but want to replace the speakers as the ford ones arent up to much

any help on what size to buy, recomendations of brands would really help me out. any issues with depth in the doors?

my missus is a little keen and wants to get her chrimbo shopping done asap, so i need to tell her which ones to buy, like this week

if only her car hadn't of broken, i would have been able to strip my door cards and find out for myself

5 1/4 inch speakers fit but it's close. You'll need to make some new holes, but they are within the area originally covered by the standard grilles, so you can go back to standard later if you need to without any visible damage.

 

 

I know i just bought 12 cm ones , but they were for my 3 door , love sony stuff
