ive had a mate whos into electrioncs (never meet him, internet friend) and he says it look good and is gunna sort me some bits for it.

The guy's done some nice work there, most impressed. One minor mistake I spotted was that eec-iv can do live data if the ecu has the DCL connector

no mate, TBH i was ment to buy the chip of the guy at end of jan but i needed the money for other bits for my rs, as im restoring it, ish, so thats taking up all the money at the mo.
it will happen for sure though when i got some spare cash to "waste" on it

Back to the topic in hand, what is an "ABS" code?

Surely its not the obvious?

so surely thats just a waste of time for an FRST then as the ECU doesn't have any of those features?

 

frst has ABS, well, some do, its aint all that i must admit, but the tester isnt just for a frst mate, its for a few ford cars

 

FRST ABS is the mechanical stuff aswell though ain't it?

That brings up fault code for the wheel sensors and alike, which obviously the mechanical stuff doesn't use?

 

there are a couple of sensors on there but there not linked to anything as such that a reader will read so yeah its not much use on that side for the frst, but then again, even if it was, the asb on the fiestas is dog shit and then some so the best way to fix a fault is to remove it

right guys, i have the bits on order tonight so should be with me tomorrow or thursday and the chip was tried to be delivered today.
i got to get a couple of bits from mapins as rapid online didnt have them in stock so fingers crossed and if i can pull my finger out i shall start making it next week.
then if it works i have to find someone with a fault to test it on
