i snapped a driveshaft of my xe nova.
when i bought the shafts i was told they were from a gte and had mk2 cav 1.6 inner cv's.

ive just taken mine apart and have found that the inner end of the driveshaft where it goes into the cv joint has 25 splines.
the outer end of the shaft has 28 splines.

apparently the inner end of a gte shaft has only 22 splines.

any ideas what this shaft is?


i still have both cv joints and they seam ok. so the easiest thing would be to get the same shaft and just put my cvs on it.

but people rate the gte shafts highly so i would rather replace it with one of them.
but im guessing that my inner cv is not from a mk cav and therefore i will need to replace that.
