Default Temporary car cover

Need some help please. I've got my works Christmas meal coming up and I haven't got a car just now but my friend will let me borrow theirs. I'd rather drive there than get a lift so I'm after some temporary car cover. The only problem is I'm 20 and all the places I've checked out so far are for people aged 21 or over. Don’t suppose it makes much difference but my birthday is only in a couple of months. The car is a 2.0 Vectra estate and I’d need it for 15th of December or around that time anyway. Anyone got any suggestions? Cheers in advance

Get your mate to add you to HIS insurance. You won't find any insurance company that will insure a car that's already insured with another ins co.

I'm sure Norwich Union do, one of the questions when getting a quote is - "Check this box if the Policyholder is already insured to drive this vehicle under another comprehensive insurance policy." I'm not sure if they mean, make sure that the driver already has a policy with us or if they just mean a policy with any company. Doesn't matter anyway because they are for 21+ too. Cheers anyway

Doesnt your current car insurance allow you to drive any other vehicle 3rd party only?

Might be a 21+ thing again tho
