Do you honestly think they will stay in the town centre, pay higher rates and think about your Maude having it cushy living round the corner when they could relocate to bigger premises out of town for much lower rent and running costs.
All she will get from them is a new address to turn up to at 9am Monday morning.

I'm not too sure as to what you think she will do if she don't wanna move... Will the place she works still be in the town centre or not? Are the relocating or opening a new branch? If it's a new branch (and the location she currently works still has a branch of that company still there) then she may be able to stay in the location she is. If it's relocation (and the place she works is closed) then no - she goes with it, or finds a new job...

It is not that simple any more, the European Employment Laws that apply in this country now are a nightmare. It depends if her job will be exactly the same in the new location, why they are moving location and the exact distance involved. Depending on the exact circumstances, it is quite possible that if she does not wish to relocate to the new location, then she will come under the Forced Redundancy regulations and will be in line for a payout.

cool cheers for answers lads, not the ones i was hoping for but worth a shot anyways
shes the installs manager for a phone systems company, shes like the main person there (apart from the overall MD/manager guy)
they're moving cos they want a building with 24hr access. but the prob is the building where they are on about moving to is 15miles away over the tops so in winter if the weathers bad it isn't gonna be accessable anways
thing what piss's off is that she works mainly on her own, opening & locking up every day
as the engineers are always on site and the manager guy is always out selling
my bird is petite little blond, any fucker could over power her and shes got to work in the middle of nowhere on her own!
