high revs on idle

fitted some new parts over the last two days now the car wont idle below 1500 rpm ive tried the idle speed control valve which brought it down a bit but now im stuck what could the problem be?

ive fitted
new turbo plus cleaned out all of the pipe work (what a mess)
grs evo 5 itercooler with twin fans
new bistributor cap and rotor arm plus bistributor seal
new spark plugs
new injectors
and a new fuel filter
plus the general over things oil and water etc

it went done a bit but there wasnt a lot of ajustement left, i will try the cable but i am sure the butterfly goes all the way back to fully closed, do you think this could happen if there is an air leak on the inlet manifold side of the throttle bodie?
disconnect the throttle cable to test if the butterfly is seating.
An air leak is possible, but would mean she is running quite rich to start with. If the air is entering in the form or a leak, it isn't being metered by the metering flap, so normally causes the car to stall/run very lean. On an efi car, a leak will just increase the idle speed in the same way opening the throttle does.

just sorted it and thught about what you were say it wasn`tthe cable but it had been ajusted on the side of the bodie so that it wouldn`t retern fully thanks fella
