Anyone got or got pics of a S1 wearing EsCos rims? Wanna see how far out they stick in the arches.....

Was loking at Jano's one in a mag last night and thought they looked quite cool, but stuck out a bit, so wondered how they fit with the S1 arches one....

 

Cant really tell but feguck it

 

i personally dont think they suit!

They're just a bit too curvy to suit the boxy S1 lines IMO... Don't like them on 3 doors either though, saying that, but they do look good on Saff's

 

Still look like they stick out a bit far

Just podering 16's really - don't want 17's again after the 3i (handling is SHIT with them on) and thinking escos cos the extra width my help with grip (tho must admit, she's pretty damn grippy on the 15's now)

Just think the EsCos rims stick out too far.... Maybe I should go for 16" Mondeo "Cossie" rims again?

 

HELL NO - EsCos rims were MADE to go on 3dr's !!!! Black, white, grey - they are THE wheel for 3dr's

I think those standard ones look the nuts on your motor Thrush. Failing that MO's in keeping with the motorsport heritage.

 

Yeah, still fancy keeping the std rims TBH - jsut exploring other options... Jsut don't want to go bigger than 16", as I HATED 17's on the 3i - only good thing was the look

i agree with pete. The lines on the S1 just dont go with the curvy escos rims at all. Look really out of place IMO. Thats why voodoos look so good on them cos they are boxy. Same as rondell 122's, look the bollox!

 

Go for the Esc Cos rims Thrush and that means you can put an ST170 brake conversion behind them

 

Thats what I was thinking Dave.... But looks like I am gonna go down the 2WD discs with 4x4 Cos calipers now tho.....

 

i like voodoo rims on s1s

 

I kept warping discs when I had that conversion and since upgrading to the ST170 setup quite a while ago I have had no problems at all

Voodoo's do look nice and before anyone says it there is a few with them on but they really suit the car and I never see any S1's round my way

I merely suggested I was thinking about changing the wheels, not replacing them.

The same design is no longer available from Borbet BUT Rondell do a very very similar wheel if you like the look of mine.

Design 0093 at the bottom....might get one for a spare.
