Default Cosworth Co% level,help please

The level at idle won't come down below 9%,had m8 check it last week and would'nt go below 10% so fitted a new coolant temp sensor as the screw on ECU did'nt make any difference to levels

Have been told you can reset the mixture screw pot by turning screw 4 turns in then 4 turns out then 2 turns back, supposedly this resets it???

Could this be a chip problem,or is there anything else I can check/replace that would affect fueling?

Any help appreciated

Might be a mapping issue, could be a map sensor issue...there are a few variables. I would get it to a tuner asap before you suffer from bore wash...

As Daz said, get a tuner to take a look.

Mess with it yourself and you could end up with an engine from Cadburys

are you sure there isnt a brake in the wires going too the coolent sensor?
i can tell you the pins if needed so you can measure the resistance with a multimeter!

is the engine hot enough? has the fans come on?

It effects the fueling all over. It is the main sensor the ECU needs to calculate fueling. The ECT sensor has influence on this though...

Yes. It's far too rich besides being highly illegal...

Not yet

Tryed diffrent MAP sensor,no joy

Found fuel press reg was'nt working as it should be,took vac pipe off and pressure
did'nt rise!

Could have been costly on a long flat out blast

Got a chip on way so going to try that(cheers RS Gus)
