HI everyone...just wondering what the most powerful RST's (escorts) are that you know of?

i know of a few who state 370hp...

there is that red one in PF stating 370hp which is a ZVH with a KKK turbo on it...

The one Jano did (red ERST) was over 300hp or so wasnt it?

Im sure C+B's is over 300hp...

Tims was 300ish in its last state...

Ollies was 300+

tony turbo must be near or over 300hp?

Sid with his ZVH is over 300hp

anyone got any DEFINATE power figures for powerful rsts? as well as the claimed ones?

what figures have any cars produced?

C+B - 168mph
Tim - 162mph? 1/4 12.9 0-60 5.1?
Ollie - 164mph?
Tony turbo - 160mph?

car was only on the road 2 days before i started to change spec again, so never timed

I'd like to see a few of the big power cars on a Dyno Dynamics Dyno.

It's the only system that can offer comparison between other Dyno Dynamics Dyno's.

Have to agree with Christian on seing the figures from DD RR'ds would make for interesting comparisons.

Can really offer up comparable examples as our figures up here are measured at the wheels.

Wullie Youngs ZVH S1 is impressive 240ish @wheels and 13.89 qtrs, would be interesting to see it timed officialy, with the setup he's fitting over the winter.

DavidCh's ZVH producing 273@wheels...its used as a toy(fast road use), has all the right gear for good qtrs but has no real interest in prove'ing what his car can do up the qtr. Would be interesting to see it officialy timed aswell.

Id like to see a T4 powered ZT16v be interesting to compare it with a T4 powered YB.

I think it would be interesting to see if the performance matches the power quoted... after all power is nothing if its not transfering to the floor

In the Summer 2006 issue of Fast Ford
Jano's S1 with a standard head, bottom end and capacity did a 5.80 second 0-60 and a 1/4 mile of 14.54 @ 102.37 mph with a full interior which compared well to Ollie Meredith's S1 which has a 1.9 CVH which is stated at being 320 BHP and this car was slower 0-60 than a car with a standard head and block with a time of 6.32 seconds and slightly faster 1/4 mile of 13.98 @ 114.98 although this car has the weight advantage of being a stripped out racer

Im personally more interested in performance stats rather than numbers.

oh and Jano might have put the power down better but look at the terminal speed difference between the 2....NO disrespect to Jano as he has built a SUPERB car but just showing that the terminal speeds indicate that Ollies car has a fair bit more power than Jano's car

i know of a 1800 zetec down here running two stage nos that ate a gearbox on the rollers(pushed the two shafts apart!) it made 360kw.
runs 12's on the 1/4 at 200kph(no ls diff) , runs 240 on the standing km

Any 1 can have a siily spec engine but its no good if ya can't drive it

 

toms scarlets s1 was proved over 300bhp on a rolling road






my anti lag just spins up the 1st 2 gears though so dont know if its better???

deffo need to change to a gt series turbo though as i have loadsa lag
