sierra cosworth rear calipers
i have a sierra rear disc conversion.
i have a problem with the back end coming round.
the car has extra rear line restrictors to try and help it but it still does it.
one thing i have noticed is the rear brakes drag even when pushing car on the drive.
i recon the pistons are not releasing when breaking.
the thing is the calipers were striped and are like new.
but what i cant understand is the sierra rear caliper has a spiral shaft on which the piston screw on.
i tried pushing pads back but the shaft doesnt let the pistons go back like front calipers.
you have to have a special tool to wind the pistons back in.
has anyone else had these problems or know whats going on here?

You sure you haven't over adjusted the handbrake cable and its partially on all the time?
Also you haven't played with the nut inside the servo like many people suggest have you?
You do have to wind the pistons back, thats the same for the majority of cars with calipers on the rear. You can usually just use a screw driver in the slot to spin it round
