after a year driving a snotter of a Sierra, my FRST project is beginning to get off the ground.
this last week or so have seen a great deal of phone calls and e-mails, ordering bits that i need, and the car has been stripped and collected.
so far, the postman/courier has brought me...
GAZ coil overs
powerflex polybushes
pro alloy intercooler and rad
samco boost and water hoses
bailey oil breather, swirl pot and header tank
wilwood 283mm discs and 4pot calipers
braided brake line kit
k&n induction kit
mongoose exhaust
4 brand new 16" mondeo Si alloys
burton quickshift
mk3.5 mirrors
LHD rear lights
clear indicators and repeaters
front and rear strut braces
stainless oil filler cap
escos gear knob
vibratechnic gearbox mounts
omex shift light
AP uprated clutch
just waiting for CTS stage 2 box (will be a week or two)
need some
welding, then spraying.
a mate (Dave J) is doing most of it for me, except the spraying.
and i will be helping/hindering/making the tea as needed.
just wanted to thank everybody thats helped me out on here so far, and thanks to paul at burton, dave at dampertech, fordpartsuk.com, adel28 (ebay),stu at CTS, christian@APT,steveC, auto specialists in grays and of course... The Wife!
will post pictures when i have sorted the mysteries of photobucket
wish me luck!

that was AFTER dave had the new quarter clamped on! should have seen the look on her face when he took it back off to show her what it looked like before!
i stripped the inners from the donor tailgate to stop myself feeling inadequate!

(sorry did I say work I meant tea making!)
Why havent you posted a picture of the shiny rs blanking plate yet! That was the best bit!!
I am so tempted to post something "outlandish"............. but I won't (for now) as I expect you are a well respected member of this forum and I wouldn't want to tarnish your reputation

3) I worked with "vx220" for 3 years and yes infact he is a mentalist
I am going to be so popular here.......
i dontlike the 'flap' because its just not original!!!
dont get me wrong it is a bloody good idea, but if new quarter goin on anyhow and you dont spill petty on it, it should last 10 years

something to do with ford using a thin squirt of rust preventer that completely failed to go anywhere near where the water would drain and get trapped!
with any luck, this car will be swimming in waxoyl or similar very soon
Looking good dave! How long before its road worthy?
I thought that was cliff with the angle grinder at first in the 6th pic!
btw, I think you need to invest in axle stands! Im not sure what will break first, the chassis or the jack
