does anyone knoow if the same style of wingmirror of the ST Es Cos
was the same on anby other escoort, basically, i want ST wing mirrors

Cosworth mirrors are the same as newer model escorts.

got mine off a mk6 escort ghia,40quid from breakers.

 

paid about the same for mine,make sure theyre electric and heated

 

need to fit mine soon.

these are a lot smaller mirrors and it does effect the rear view when you have these.

worth it though.

why!!!!!!!!!!!! got to say i preffer the bigger ones on a large turbo. to me it distinguishes a LT to a ST.prefer the thought that folk think its a large turbo.went to croft the other day and there was a escos parked up, my mate said something about it and i said yeh its a large turbo model, he said how the fuck do you know that from over here. i replied it has large wing mirrors. he said stop talking shit how can you tell by that??

to me its like saying i want the new style rear badges, no chance. original is best but thats just imo.

 

Have to agree with you on the BT ones looking better, i always thought that about only BT cars had older style mirrors, filler cap as apposed to flap and the older style badging on tailgate, but as i have found out since owning my ST Escort that was registered on the 19-08-94, some of the early ST cars had BT mirrors and badging and the newer flap. I've just been chatting to a lady who has a one with same as mine, Ash black too funny enough, ford are strange sometimes with stuff like that, i went down the road of changing mirrors and badges a while ago but after buying them have changed my mind and going to keep it original.

 

I have a pair that are ready to be painted when the car gets painted... but still in 2 minds whether to put them on either, as i prefer the standard attributes of the larget turbo and the small turbo, they cam with big mirrors, so should stay with big mirrors like....

 

Not all small turbo's have small t mirrors

my small turbo also had the big mirrors, & old style badges.
i prefer the old badges but the new mirrors look sleeker

our escort gti has the smaller mirrors as standard & the frst has a set fitted aswell so i'm pretty used to them. Not as good vision as the big ones though.

 

not sure what to do , thiin they just look more sleeker

 

imo, anyone who looks at an escort coswort is not going to look at the mirrors and think to themselves .....ooh look, its only a small turbo one.....there not as good as the big turbo ones......



they look well better imo and i could not give 2 fooks if people thought my car was a small turbo car.

i have 2 sets of late mirrors here that i have to paint for SHITBOX's cars

 

my old esc cos was also a small turbo with the bt mirrors and early boot badges,i like both to be honest i dont think it matters,wotever you prefer the look of,i prefer to keep mine with the bt mirrors.
how many of you prefer the fuel cap on bt to the big flap on the small turbo?? but you cant swap that over
