Need to get a new Thatcham CAT 1 alarm system for the cos. What is the best, value for money system on the market at the moment? How much should i expect to pay & where in the south east can i get it fitted. Needs to be a reputable dealer for the obvious reasons or is haveing it fitted somewhere away from your home address a better idea. I have had Clifford before which have all been just ok apart from a few false alarms so really want something which is failsafe & the latest in technology.

I have fitted Sigma's Cat.1 to all my cars and hand on heart can tell you in both cars over 3years they have never false alarmed me and unlike clifford dont flatten you battery if left!

I pay circa £350 fitted. Thats with full closure on 4 windows in the sapphire!


If you want a no-nonsense alarm/immobilser that meets Thatcham Catagory1 specification thats my favourite. Alot of my mates have Clifford Concept 600's and my mates CRX Vtec has remote start/remote headlights/blackjax and has paid like £1100 on that little lot. So if you want turbo timer/remote start etctera then you choice is Clifford as Sigma dont offer this. I do like Remote start thou everytime my mate does it, it looks so mint and the heads that turn is worth maybe one or two false alarms! I however live in a small village where noise like an alarm would get me shot!
