Seriously considering selling the cossie.....
Well, after 16 years of ownership, and getting the car to where I always wanted it......I'm now considering moving on to something else.
I've spent so much on this car (about 10k in the last couple of years alone..........), and had it in proffessional storage for ten years while I was working in the USA. But I'm now thinking about moving on. The car is insured for 12k.. and am considering putting her up for sale at 10k..... is this about the right price for her.......I know it seems alot, but there are very few left in this conditition with all the right modifications and not boy racerized.

...just consider i bought rhys saff for 7800 and is mint..custom install sound system, custom leather/alacantra interior MAD engine (cost 7.5k on its own) built for 600bhp..all spec r..big brakes etc etc...maybe i got a bargain...i then bought another saff 2wd which owes me 4.5k..nowhere near the condition but fully usable with big brakes/coilovers/newly rebuilt engine 4x4 engine all alloy t34 etc etc etc.
Not many buyers like me though IMHO so 10 a bit steep...i just look at it that if things go wrong and i need to bail out i can easy break them and get all money back

NI!
Rhys's car was indeed an immaculate example and we both know each other from the shows.....but put it next to this one, and it won't take you long to see the difference......

Jim, i sold my Sapphire Cosworth, on PF, for Ł7500 cash, within 24hrs of advertising her. The fella knew what he wanted to buy, had the cash and has bought himself a fabulous reliable and fast car that i hope he will enjoy and look after if not improve.

Good cars are hard to find and enthusiaists are out there that wish to buy them already done up when they can find one, and yours is a seriously good car with a great NMS engine and power conversion. I would personally give selling her a try and see how you get on before you break her as it would be a shame to see her broken up for spares.

STU : I think your right.....the average (No Disrespect) person wanting a cossie, dosen't realize how few very good ones are still left around (Very Few). This car needs to go to a good home, with someone who appreciates it's condition, because this one is very special. With all the right modifications (No boy racer stuff on this one). It was in professional storage (De Humidified) from 1994 - 2003 (Carlines of Horsham) and it is totally unmarked. I've done 31,000 miles since I bought the car in 1991.....!!!!! There are only a very few cars left in this condition.....so I'm not going to break it, and don't mind holding on for the right person. It might take a while, but if someone want's something very rare, very special, with all the right bits on it, then they won't find many (Maybe only a handful) like this one. This is a very special car.
MIKE : Ha Ha.....how true. I did consider it at the time, but at that time, mine had no engine in it.......It was at Karls.....

MR S1 : Yep, it's a hard decision to move on, but I've been on the RS Scene for almost 25 years......!!!!! RS 2000 for 8 years, and this cossie for 16 years....so I've been around them, had great fun with them, but now it's time to move on.....I'm no youngster, but still play damned hard.
