My dash lights and back lights are not working on my car and I need to get it sorted asap!!!!

Anyone able to help me I thought it might be the fuses but it's not!!!!

It's an XR3i 93

 

Sounds like it could be the column mounted stalk.

IIRC, that was a bit of a common problem on the MkV and V1 Escorts....

 

Correct i have a 93 xr3i and mine did the same and it was indeed the column stalk,

Saying that anna if you need the car before ya can fix it try flicking the switch for the lights back and forth and they should work as mine did, cheers, Grant

 

dash lights and rear lights are usually on same circuit, take it you have checked the fuse?

 

I also reckon it will be the indicator / light stalk on the column!

My girlfriends sister's L reg escort has the very same problem you describe - new stalk sorted it!

Fuses are all checked and fine my live-in mechanic checked them this morning.

Gunna get a new Stalk as this seems to be the problem then
