converting L6 to L8 ecu

Im just converting my 2wd sapphire from L6 To L8 ecu.I have fitted a msd chip in the l8,and a 4wd thottle pot and changed the top and bottom connectors on the pot wiring around,as per instuctions.I am running 803's 3bar map,-31 actuator .i have not driven the car i have only done the install tonight.When i touch the throttle the amal valve clicks immediately,every time the throttle pot moves from idle it clicks,that can't be right can it? Any ideas?

Hi,
If you looking for on L8 wiring diagram, on main ECU connector you have :
nbr 17 is TPS connection
nbr 16 is AMAL valve connection.
May be you have a short circuit between 16 and 17 wires on main connector.

Thanks Claude i'll check that out.I think i have just realised what i have done!!!The msd chip is for closed loop llambda and i haven't fitted the probe into the exhaust yet.The amal valve will be open because it thinks the llambda is open circuit.What a knob!!!!!!
