Default RST steering racks?

Was thinking about changeing my steering rack the other day (no reason bar I've never done it in the 9 years I've had the car).

Was just wondering wether fitting a quick rack would be worthwhile and wondered how much heavier the steering would become as a result.

Any ideas or suggestions peeps?

My mate has got one on his s1, with your 17s Oranoco it will make it hard work toturn at low speed, but on the flip side it quality when you going for it & surely must be a tool if you go on track.

The decision is yours............

What a bitch to change.

In theory very simple, not many bolts etc but what a pig.
I changed mine for a normal recon rack the other week, my mate managed to get ma a ramp at his work.

What a bitch to change, cant say much else lol

hehe easier to wait till you need a clutch and do it then with the box out.

it will steer fuckin quick at speed, have to be carefull for a while.

i's love one - worst thing on the s2 handling wise is the steering - but it's a daily driver so think it would be too stiff.

It changed the whole feel of the car when i had my quick rack fitted. I hated the amount of turns you had to give the steering wheel just to take corners and roundabouts. No problem now with the quick rack
