How fast does your car get to in 2nd gear, and what revs is that?

Found out mines 70mph at 6400rpm

 

72mph @7500rpm

 

My Fiat Punto 1.1 station car hits 46mph in second with its valves bouncing..

the 4x4s were about 58ish (made for CRAP 0-60 times! )

had 70mph on of the 3i cab once, was cutting up a twat in a taxi and forgot to change gear - only time i ever hit the limiter

Betcha can't beat my 0-59 time with less than 300 brake! Fuckin funny when the limiter kicks in (badum badum badum ouch that sounds nasty) - unless your're overtaking

out of interest whats wrong with the other three gears or have they fell out the box ??

 

mark k, yes currently my 2nd gear gives me about 90mph, but the next box I'm using gives me 105mph!

The ratios I'm going for will give me 65mph in 1st and 105mph in 2nd, so should make my sprint times pretty good!

 

50 mph will do me fine - then its time for a change!

seams a wide power band for a car with such a high power band , what will it get off the line like ?? i know what ive had to do to mine to get it off the line and do 60 in 1st , i would have thought that with very little boost low down it would have to crawl away or smoke the rears !! ?????? you must know though - you built it

 

my sierra did 55 in second,85 in third,110 in fourth and 140 at 6000rpm in fifth! crap gearing but still did 5.5 to 60.my bmw does 75 in second,105 in third,dont know about fourth and fifth,might find out going to trax but i know fifth is megga long,does 100mph at 3000rpm and 130mph at 3800rpm.revs to 6500.200mph ish not sure

 

my spiftastic 1.3 LX Escort does about 45 before I get scared and change gear

 

Marco dont stop their dreams mate, Im putting a .83 2nd in my box so about 206 @ 8K will be total shite but beats all the others on this post . In fact im going to have all gears .83 so thats 206 in first.

 

my old xr2 did about 60 with the wheel spinning @ about 6.5k! the 1.6 mk5 essy we got now does about 65 at the limiter

expecting the mk1 to be about 55 at 7k, lovely low ratios

 

92 at 8800

 

Just spoken to Mark & with 27" wheels mines good for 254 in Ist surely that makes mine number one.

Jealousy will get you nowhere mate! At least mine can boost more than 8psi without missfiring, I'm running 15psi held thankyou very much!!!

 

it dont missfire it holds back its that scared

 

What's it scared of?.........that it might be left alone with you again?
