RS 1800 ecu

Just wonderd if a rs 1800 ecu would fit my xr2i 1.8 would it be ok to run or are ecu,s diffrent

It will fit but it's completely pointless as it's designed to operate on a different spec of engine than the one in your 2i

Nope as it's not designed to run on that engine. It's designed to run on the 130 spec engine which has different cams and inlet manifold. You'll probably find it'll cost you power and performance

as per Steve mate. It'll only work as long as you have all the other bits and bobs to go with it
