Huge well done to Tony (NutsRus) and Dayle...
Martin got 36th (I think).
Had a power steering pipe rub out on his gearbox and blow on the 4th last stage and dropped him down a few places but he was still happy as could be apart from the sore arms

Happy with 56th as the car was poorly and unusually using more water than fuel
David is being moddest as ever as he and his mates were part of the team - being out and about sometimes at 3 or 4am just waiting for me at the end of the stages with water and fuel
Biggest and hardest event of the year for us and we took 3 crews over and all came home safe and sound unlike some
Got stopped on 1 stage whilst they recovered the crew out of an EVO 8 infront of us, car was almost unrecognisable and ended up about the size of a mini
Massive thanks to Dayle for being spot on in the left hand seat, keeping me sober, steady and calm and out of the ditches... something the chase car crew need to practice for next year
Always a relief to get this one out of the way and park the car up safe and sound at home again..... not everyone does.
Pete's Escort

Simons Subaru

Scary pic of it

Ogg's Poorly Pug

Something about it draws you back year on year to compete on the best event in the world
See you there next year Tim

Si - we are always looking for help - Dayle is out again this weekend in the woods in Wales somewhere, he's just got time to wash the overalls then it starts all over again
If we are down your way I'll give you a shout a few weeks before - and we would gladly welcome extra help

Oh and its not all about motorsport, being sponsored by Tunnocks they have a teacake eating competition - the winner this year did 22 in 4 minutes... we are already practicing on that one for next year

I only have the one in my sig a 1600cc Mk3 FWD Escort (car 137)
MEF was in a semi Gp A Subaru (car 101) and my other mate Adge was in a similar spec White Subaru (car 145)
We beat my mate in the white one and he had 300bhp - but it was his first time there

Budget car hire? It would have to be renting out wrecks like that! Gutted for the owner though, regardless of sponsorship, that's going to cost someone big time

Anywhere within a days driving is within reach! Although if you want to fund my expenses I'll join you on a Safari rally or Cyprus etc Keep me posted and I'll see you there - I make a crappy cup of tea, but know how to wash cars, wave basic spanners around and can navigate so could prob find you wherever you land up!

Looking at the marks on the road where the Subaru went off it must have barrel rolled at least 4 times
Here is a pic of Pete's Escort 10 seconds before his

We always look forward to having cars at the end so we can take this shot for the sponsors

Crappy tea is fine Si
Thats why we like being sponsored by a pub

More than likely dropped his chocolate biscuits again Si
Going up the 'steps' (in the vid above) I actually had 1 hand on the wheel and the other hand waving out of the side window at the 000's of speccies.
Part of where my name comes from

God Knows how high You would get Tony if the engine was running on song.
As I said before great result to bring the car home on probably the hardest rally of the season
Also can I add a big thanks to Dave and the lads for keeping the car fueled and watered all weekend at daft o clock times of the night sorry I never got time to say bye before I left the island.
Also a big well done to Tony and Dayle who where on the ball all weekend and did'nt give Me to much work to do in service.

The pic of the Subaru is frightening yes, 6 point cages are not the strongest, despite hundreds being fitted and the occupants thinking they will be safe in all eventualities. Pics like that just prove that some jobs you should not scrimp on, a saving in the wallet is not always the best option, and fitting should be done by professionals if your not sure or confident yourself.
Some parts of some cages are designed to bend to cushion a heavy impact - however accidents don't always happen as the rule book defines, and although simon suffered cuts from flying glass he was in this one very lucky and was back out spectating Saturday night.
Love the Irish rallys sean, so a meet up on one would be good

Sorry about the whiplash from the landings
Anyone looking for a navigator for the sport, I can certainly recommend Dayle. He puts 120% into everything.

He took on the biggest most difficult rally in the UK, despite everyone around him telling him not too
