Default FRP - with RS Focus Engine Conversion???

Hi Guys,

Well basically this is how it goes,

I have a MINT and I MEAN MINT example of a FRP (#232) 43K Full Pumabuild Service History, only 3 weeks since new Belt change and last service. Has a Years Ford Gold Warranty left on it, All Callipers Re-conditioned and painted blue by Pumabuild and all new discs and Pads, Suspension bushes and bearings renewed. 4 new tyres (Toyo’s), Miltech 4-2-1 branch manifold, Miltech Sports cat and Stainless steel exhaust System. etc etc

So I should get atleast £8500 for the car maybe more RIGHT

BUT This is it - I love the Car (I really do) BUT - coming for a M3 Evo to a FRP I miss the Power - So I Suggest buying an Accident Damaged FRP which has been repaired to the highest standard and Putting a Focus RS Lump into it. I'd hate to start fooking around with my #232 as it is a collectable and deserves to keep as is and to be looked after for life.

I know this has been done before by Alan at Pumabuild, so I know it can be done again. (Feel Free to help me on this Alan )

I think for a Repaired FRP it will cost me around £4k-£5k and the Focus RS Engine will cost £2500.

But what else will I be looking at paying to do this conversion????

Plus, what would this car then be worth??? - & - Will it hold its Value????

Any help would be great Guys.

Sadly if it costs too much I’ll give up on the Idea that I've been dreaming about this allot lately

Looking forward to hearing what you think

personally i'd do this conversion to the car you already own

doesnt matter that its mint.......it'll be a good starting place

if you buy an accident damaged one, cat c or d, it will be worth nothing and may not even drive straight again

i wouldnt worry about your current one losingmoney, as either way you will be ploughing money into it, as its not an easy conversion
