After going to Dono today and doing 4 laps then getting black flagged for being 104db - I was going to give up when Marco rang and said he'd be right over with a muffler. He and Mike came all the way from Brum only to find it didn't fit

After a few modifications with a grinder and Mike's engineering expertise, the rest of the day was a success from short shifting and my exhaust extension Many, many thanks Marco and Mike

it may be a bodge yes , but it works it will keep the noise down a little with losing any power

They're getting very strict at Dono on the noise levels now, people were getting black-flagged for being 1 or 2 dbs over.

Time for a new exhaust I guess Andy?

 

Will be two Lee, one for the screamer pipe and also replace the Mongoose with summat else..... he wants a similar set-up to what you have on your car.

 

Its a pain in the ass and the wallet but the only way forward really if you want to run at the quiet days

Good news is he can make use of where the fuel tank used to go as well as he has an in car tank as well

 

Have ordered some bits from Martin for this coming Saturday
Am going to step up the pace now Realy enjoyed yesterday

Have never taken the R1 on track Sunny

Think its a bit too clean for that Plus knowing my luck / ability i would probably stick it in the sand at Redgate

 

Dangerous - Know what you mean mate, only been a few weeks since passing my test and I am thinking I'd deffo kill myself on the R1 on track or stack it. Looking for a cheap'ish Thunderace to learn to smoke about on track though.

 

You would probably find a cheap R1 as easily pal maybe one with faring scratches & a but scruffy
Buy yourself a replica fairing, paint it to your desired colours & away you go Sticky tyres etc etc

i also cant afford to put myself out of action for any amount of time
Work would suffer as a consequence an so would MY BONUS
