My new workshop (pic)
Not got any decent pictures yet, but here is a quick camera phone picture of my workshop for the next 9 months or so
Im well chuffed with it, obviously a little more space than i really need (well ok a lot, LOL) but really pleased.

Its just for the cossie and nova and the mrs calibra, but actually has a lot more space than is really needed for three cars.
That picture is taken width wise, its actually a lot longer than it is wide, but basically its just so huge it doesnt matter, its so big we can probably use it for practicing 60ft times etc if its wet outside

Its just purely for working on my own cars, it comes free with a propery my mrs and her mate are living, they arent allowed to do anything commerical with it, so its hobbyspace only.

All bills are included in their rent, but i think it might take the piss if i tried to heat that workshop with convection heaters

were trying yo find a unit in manchester for 5 cars plus working area and its like finding a needle in a haystack.... unless you want 5 bodyshells when you get back

But its only really for our own use, if we start letting loads of people park cars in there and arent allowed to give anyone else keys to get onto the land (fenced all round) where the property is anyway, its in the lease, and it will look like we are doing something commercial with it if loads of random cars turn up, so not really an option anyway, especially not for long term storage. Sorry mate.
Shame cause would be fucking mint to have about 100 people all using it as a massive shared workshop, always someone there to lend a hand or borrow a tool off or talk bollocks to etc!

It used to be a large factory/warehouse, but its currently unnoccupied because the land is going to be sold off to build houses, until then the building that was the offices/security/reception its being rented out as a residential property to my bird and her mate, but their lease gives them access to the entire site, so the whole thing is legally class as one large residential address as that way squatters cant move in to the warehouse either.
Its actually relatively common for propertys to be protected this way.
Whole RAF bases, fire stations, railway stations, all manner of buildings which need to be empty for a couple of years while planning permission goes through etc without the risk of squatters moving but dont really need security guards there 24/7 to protect anything from theft as there is nothing there to steal anyway.
