I had a Happauge tv card (cant remember which model). What a complete pain this was, you need two pieces of software to make the darn thing work.

I got so fed up that i stuck it on ebay!! it was hopeless!

I then brought a Cinergy usb tv tuner....wow, how good.

I did have a small problem with it recording at the begining, but once you upload the cinema software (it overwrites the original, so only one software package). it now works an absolute treat and can recommend it.

Was about £50 (it also coes with a mini aerial so you can take it out with a laptop as well, which is a bonus)

HTH?

The problem with the Hauppage equipment is that the software is not that good, and tends to cause conflicts.

I have spent a lot of time and energy in trying to resolve computer issues where these have been installed.

Silver is right - stick with USB non-hauppage if you can.

Alternatively, just download whatever you want from the internet, and dont waste time with the fucking things. Also buy a telly instead

have a tv 44"s , the they are the only people who do a digital sat, freeview, analouge tv and fm radio all in one!

so not much other option than several usb devices! or I could buy a hdd recorder with dvd writer and freeview, still no satellite or fm radio option for £400 a fair bit more than £80! so that aint an option
