bear in mind that removing the abs entails removing the modulators and replumbing the brake lines!! just removing the belts will only stop the abs from working! doin it properly will result in better pedal feel

took my abs out and the brakes were fine. only thing i noticed was my back end stpeeing out braking hard from high speeds, prob just my crappy rear drums though. felt nice nonetheless to brake with. and gets rid of the shitty modulators which makes changing the gearbox easier!!!

does the ABS weigh a lot?

I was thinking of putting braided brake line and also ripping the abs out. Would the lights still be flashing once i take it out?

either just tape the sensors up or remove them and rewire the plugs to make the connection

Or one of the sensors has fallen out of the housing.
Access is better underneath, but you can do it from the top if you're flexible If you look under the car & see something dangling, then I'm gonna guess it's one of the sensors. The fit into a small rectangle housing onto the abs belt (large oval shaped plastic cover with small rectangle hole)
