Default cutting out when below half tank

me again! seems there was more problems than I thought with my first RS! when I go around a roundabout/sharp bend when under half a tank, the car cuts out and is a b*gger to start again. I was thinking that it was drawing air from somewhere, but it cant be a fuel line or it would be leaking fuel - which its not. Is the sender unit maybe not in correctly or something?

as always, thanks for any input.
Jamie

Are you certain your guage is accurate? Also, it may be the tank it'self, perhaps it doesn't have a swirl pot inside, just a couple more things to think about...

No I am on about the one inside the fuel tank, it may depend on what fuel tank you are running but as I see it part of the design is to eliminate fuel starvation when going round corners etc.

The plastic swirl pot inside your tank is fucked. Basically you need a new petrol tank.
