i've fitted an induction kit to my saff cossie

its a foam pipercross grp A jobbie, popped the bonnet last week after it had been raining and all the water drips thru the bonnet vent straight onto it

it was soaking does that effect performance?

should i have a alloy shield fitted (like you do on the ERST when fitting an K&N)

Dont have one on mine dave and it's been fine for over a year.

 

I have never had any probs without one - rain, snow etc

 

the difference between the cos and an erst is that on the escort the filter is facing upwards so the water can go straight down into the metering unit, the saph has it on the side so it just goes straight thru it

dunno but its never done any damage to mine lol

 

it would wash the oil off at the very least
