Default custom clutch mechanism

I've got a paddle clutch and because of its stiffness my clutch pedal keeps on failing
I've got a mk5 pedal fitted by the way for the adjustability.
Is there a custom, say metal machanism that can be bought from somewhere???
As the crappy plastic ford ratchet/cog doesn't seem to be up to the job
