Default near side / off side

if im sitting in the drivers seat near side is to my right off side is to my left ?


basically i have some head lamps and brake lamps to sell on ebay, so again if im in the drivers seat the headlamp infront of me on the drivers side will be the near side lamp, right?

if it's rhd car near side is near to the passenger seat so to the left

near side is passenger side and off side is drivers side on right hand drive cars

it just means the side that is nearest the kerb when u are driving on the correct side of the road for the country u are in

In our country u drive on the left, therefore the side " near " the kerb is the left side. That is the passenger side in a rhd car

I always find that it's easy to just think the steering wheel is an "O" for offside once you do that you'll never forget lol
