What are the Actual advantages of spending thousands on say
autronic or motec or something similar
as opposed to cheaper managment like emerald or something like that??

Forgetting launch control and things like that.
do the more expensive ECUs internals react quicker etc?

EDIT: or do the advantages of more expensive ECUs show when you
start messing with 8 injectors ETC.


more expensive ECUs having more load sites to get a more precise map??

 

I dont think you'll find too many N/A motors on autronic or motec,imo those system seem more catered toward to forced induction market.
System used alot on N/A are stuff like mbe,dta.............and ever growing in popularity MegaSquirt.
Whats a fairly important factor for me is who can map the system and how far away are are , Technical support is always nice too.

 

yeah i know there isnt many NA on autronic ETC,

but it was literally just to illistrate that
when it comes down to the ACTUAL MAP
and not all the optional extras like launch control, traction control, ALS
etc.

what is the actual advantage of the better ecus.
