Default unusual abs question

right , what i'm wanting to know is ... is it possible to completely remove the abs system from a sapphire cosworth and still have a perfectly functional braking system whilst retaining the ORIGINAL master cylinder.

the reason i am asking is because my mate is building a race car which is to be ran on rough terrain as well as smooth and considers the abs to be a complete waste of time and source of problems.

i really need to know which bits need to be removed , whether or not the accumulator and master cylinder can be retained etc.. as every non abs system i have seen in a cosworth has utilised aftermarket braking systems with new pedal boxes and master cylinders etc...

any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi,
It is not viable to try and make the system work like you have in mind. You would be far better off converting the system to a normal hydraulic system.
