Some wan**r that had the car before crushed both front jacking points to the point where I can no longer get the standard jack into the hole. Could I repair these or are they available as a repair piece?

 

IMO it's not safe to use the standard jack & jacking points, I had one fail on my Saff while jacked up, could have been really nasty. Since then I keep a small trolley jack in the car.

 

yip the 2 times i have had to jack my car up with the standard items it has been a nightmare, just for changing wheels though, i would never get under it !!

good thinking with the trolley jack, i just dont like the thought of something really heavy in my boot !!

Not even for that mate, when the point fails the jack falls outwards with 2 tons of car behind it, I nearly lost my wedding tackle

 

All the Standard jacks are go for is to be in the boot to look nice for showing.

get your self a proper jack put some cloth over the jacking point and your sorted.

if im jacking the front end i use the cross member if back a rear arm.
