im buying a 3dr cossie and it has an L1 ecu . will i be able to just plug my L8 ecu straight on the 3dr or do i have to change the wiring loom ?
what is the diffrence between the L1 and L8 ecu ?

not at all, if your ECU is a red label L 8 you only have to change the tps.
If it's an green label L 8 IAW 0.48.08 you have to change the tps and the wiring loom, because of it's hego sensor lambda control.
After changing, control the lambda, that the engine is not running too poor on gasoline. Rich or poor gas you can adjust at the screw in the ECU positioned at the left side the wiring loom fit's into the ECU.

fact is, if using a L1 or L6, you must use an original PF01 TPS with the original wiring configuration.
if using any L8, you must use PF09 and swap the outer 2 wires around. failure to do that has implications at WOT, as well as idle, and risks an engine meltdown

even if it was green top, you wouldn't need to change the loom. if you wanted to make use of the lambda sensor, you would just need to wire it up by connecting it's output to ecu pin 2
