Default rust and springs

HI,Ive got a '93 xr2i. Its got the usual rust round the petrol cap, What is the best way to sort this problem out and whats it roughly going to cost?
Also how much can i lower it by on 15/195/45 tyres without arch mods?(only springs)
TIA
Am I the only person who prefers the 1.6 8v?

Most people on here prefer the 1.6 8v. I do.

As for lowering it, depends on the width and offset of the wheels ur using

I certainly prefer the 8v CVH 2i that's why I got one when we had the choice.

Yeah,i used to have a 1.6 that had a k&n, full scorpion exhaust, kent cam and superchip and it was so much fun to drive.I wish i found another one

Mine only went as some fucktard in a BMW ploughed into the back of it



It was photographed by Performance Ford the week before Bent the pickup point for the rear beam. Tragic thing is it's been fudged back together and is back on the road

nasty.Not all of us bmw drivers are nobs though.That looks very much like my old xr2i!
