Pulled on to a garage forecourt the other day and the engine cut out just like that and would not restart. Now car will start fine from cold but after 20 secs or so chugs and dies and wont restart. Have replaced plugs, leads, rotor and dizzy cap. Fuel pump works fine. Any ideas ? Could it be the engine coolant sensor ?

 

if its a cos id say coolant sensor at the back of the head

 

Its an 89 turbo

 

id say the coolant temp sensor as well

when it gets hot it cuts out!

although i have known dizzys break down when hot too

cheapest is coolant temp sensor first
