got loads of pics,been at this about a year now,started out cos i wanted an rst, got one cheap but it was fookin rotten,knew it was fooked when i bought it and had planned on a reshell as it only had 75k on the clock and the bits on it were all quite good but at the time just couldnt find a decent shell so went and bought a mint but bare cabby shell off ebay for 100 quid

one dead rst

 

this is the cabby shell i bought,thats the only bit of welding its had a batterey tray,was an all blue as well so the last cabby shell made,bonus

 

mint floor,plenty of black paint applied to stop the usual fordy rot lol

 

with the rst bonnet and bumper fitted,was having thoughts of painting her black by this time,always liked the black mk4's and the pacifica blue is ever so dull looking imo

 

got the engine bay painted,and fitted engine

had a few thoughts on what i wanted it to look like,but thought this was a bit ott lol

 

the shell painted,just waiting for bootlid,doors and bonnet

kind of a shame to change the colour of an all blue but just didnt float my boat,kind of have a soft spot for black so voila

 

kind of getting back together now,fitted new roof but didnt have the balls to cut out back window out lol

just waiting on brand new headlights and clear indicators

 

got to this stage a couple of months back and thought the car just looked too plain,put the body on the back burner for a while,fitted cossie front brakes,chipped ecu,pace intercooler,new actuator,set of koni adjustables for a wee boost in going stopping and cornering lol

 

god it looks so manky under there cleaned and painted just about everything when i put it back together but the dust and grime of about 9 months lying idle in the garage

had her back in the garage last week as my mate was on holiday and left me the keys lol,fitted a set of s1 arches and made a few small mods to the front bumper,was originally planning to smooth out the styling lines and cut out the number plate bar but kind of gone off the mutant big mouth front look,just trying to keep it subtle but different




thats all for now,time for a good wash and polish,still got a few small jobs to do before mot time but now kind of thinking about fitting my efi stuff as i have most of the bits lying around and the crap weather and salt is on its way, so maybe just leave her lying in the garage till next spring and do a few more mods by the time she eventually hits the road

 

looking good, i`de ditch those wing mirrors tho, dont suit the car in my opinion
