Default horror films

I don't think anyone is coming out with any decent horror films lately and now they are just remaking the old ones and doing a shat job at that, ie the fog was pants old version was 100 times better

As above - only seem to remake em now

Back in the day when The Exorcist and The Omen were scary tho, the world was very different! A guy at work was telling me when the Exorcist was first released in cinema's (he's old lol) him and a pal snuck in the back door to watch it. Outside the front of this moive theater was a priest, begging people not to go in and see it; St John's ambulance staff were inside and outside the theatre on standby! and people were leaving the place in tears, while a couple puked in the aisle on their way out!!!!

Back then ,that shit was proper scary!

I first saw it about 10yrs ago (was about 15/16 I think) and it shocked me, but you show it to a 15 or 16yr old now and they shrug it off saying "so?"

Different world, different generation

i think films in general are getting worse, they are now turning to remaking old classics and doing a piss poor job at it aswell

TOTALLY depends on what you class as "Horror"

There is that many variants now it gets comfusing

Slasher
Gorefest
Comedy horror
Thriller
ect ect

For me i find the original Poltigeist to be a "scary" film along with the first Helloween.

Do agree with Tiff, it depends on what you get as horror. Proper horror is in the mind.
