sod that, soon as you miss a gear thats gonna be a head rebuild

i think fitting a spacer plate is a idea behind the mount on the block face to rock it forward !

he means the cam pully that is quite close to the bodywork, tilt the engine forward a bit as they do move a fair bit under load

or fit a rock solid mount lol

The cam pulley is an inch away from the chassis leg.

Never had any problems with it running when I had the engine in my S2.

Going to replace the rubber bit of the mount with nylon anyway

That looks ok to me...pretty similar to the CVH motor

The engine rocks alot forwards and aft but not much side to side, or am I missing something?

John Laverick, I think Ginge means the cam pulley may move back far enough onto the mount. . for where the the engine mount bolts to the inner wing, possibly causing the cambelt to shear.

Not a chance in hell that would happen as they are miles away from each other.
