A useable one with some minor bodywork issues, maybe some dashboard cracks and non original components. Id expect it to be about the 90-100,000 mile mark, half a dozen owners or more and maybe need restoring within 3-5 year mate.

They are a great car tho mate and I wouldnt be looking to pay much less than that for a half decent one. Mine cost me 8 grand with 28k genuine miles on it, bog standard and a huge folder of receipts

I'm selling mine soon!

To be honest I think a lot of them a priced way to high, i love the way they look but you can get a decent saff cossie for less than £3500. I'm going to advertise my series one for £3295

For this sort of price range i would expect
12 months Mot
Less than one owner every two years of its life
No dodgyness
A fair amount of history
A nice looking reliable car
Personaly I dont think mileage is very important unless your spending thousands on a concours winner because the chances are that the engine will have been rebuilt at least once anyway

Thing is with S1s is that you pay whatever the guy asks if you want the car enough.

£3.500 i bet it stands you alot more than that, your car looks very clean lee,i paid £2,200 6 years ago and i have spent double that on it ,would i ever get that back if i sold the car?
1 was sold on eBay the other day for £3.300,but req lots of work, the lad was even gona brake the car if it did not sell..

I sold my S1 with 100k for £3200. The bodywork was truely mint, i had the interior fully re-furbed and the floor was solid. It had 10 previous owners and a proper full service history with resto photo's. I needed a quick sale and sold it within a few hours of it going up for sale. The lad who bought it said it was by far the best he'd seen out of 6 cars he'd seen ranging from £2500-£6000!!! I knew i should of advertised it for more. So there are bargains out there and some very decent ones within your budget.
