Hi..! I've been called to MOT, i think u call it!

I need my front and rear discs, and pads to be changed.

New headlights (My morette is broke.. glass)

And ball bearings i think it is, for my wheels. I've got one of them changed, so maybe 2 front and one rear left.

I hope someone will help me find maybe something cheaper in UK or other countries ;-]. In DK everything is expensive to my little RS2000 Mk5 1993

First, i've found some brake discs in front, but got no name: (Please see bottom, for translation of words) http://www.pr-design.dk/shop/productinfo.asp?id=2462
That's £96.95 And they got no name, then i wondered maybe u UK guys could help?

Ball bearings.. I can buy two kinds. Same thing, but one is Germany written on, and the other Japan. I would choose Germany. Japan bearings price: £16.14 and Germany bearings price: £43.50

Maybe u could help there too?

And last, my big headlight problem... Ive found some standard RS2000 Mk5 headlights now, the last place i would look. At my Ford dealer. The price: £126.97... EACH!

£96.95 + £43.50 x 3 + £126.97 x 2 = £481.39 = Danish DKK = 5307.39 :-/
That include: front discs, pair of headlights and 3x bearings.
And that is what I "knows" to be done... Some rust too... Then brake discs in rear, brake pads all around isnt included and so forth.

I hope someone understand any of this, and even maybe can help me?
Help finding stuff, and maybe even help sending it to DK?

And last, am I just whining actually? ;-] Or is it expensive?

I have some rs 2000 head lights. No idea how much it would be to send them or if they would get there in one piece ?

rs_daz: Well, yes. I need two front headlights for MK5 RS2000. But your light "goes the wrong way" like in your RHD and we have LHD.... Or??

Nuts: oh, you mean the "made in japan" and "made in germany"?? Mostly because of the price. But i know the cheap place, is because they buy ALOT of spares.

Managed to get these prices from the UK so far.

Front discs (260mm) £40 for the pair
Front brake pads £26

Front Wheel bearings £20

I forgot you needed rear brakes too sorry I can price those up tomorrow. Expect the price differences to be around the same.

And what would the price be for ventilated brake discs? I have ventilated in rear and front now ;-]

And about the bearings? is that "made in japan" bearings overthere?
Or if you mean I could buy them without "thoughts" of quality, then i will have them.. As soon as I find the send costs :-/

That brake disc price is for ventilated fronts

Bearings are the same as I use and are "SRF"

Postage costs will be a big factor yes.

And i'm asking prices around at our DK carsite... We buy alot from overthere :P

 

If you bought a bearing from Ford there is a good chance it would be stamped SRF
