I remember him saying he didn't enjoy it before and wasn;t interested in doing it.

He's been a couple of times before but it doesnt really interest him as an event.

We tried to talk him into going again this year but he was having none of it, anyway his car isnt quite finished with the new (900bhp+ hopefully) engine (going on dyno in a week or two i believe) so it was all acedemic for this year as it wasnt ready anyway.

By "local forum" do you mean some shitty cruise site? If so what the fuck do you expect, surely not inteligent answers? LOL

I know the sort of person you mean mate, just pointing out there is at least some validity to them thinking their cars are quick, its just they havent normally ever been in a 800bhp cossie or similar to compare it to i guess!

 

Rod's car wouldnt be competitive in most of the events. And I seem to remember him saying that if there wasnt a good chance of him winning that he didnt want to take part. Which is fair enough.

 

He would have had a top 3 finnish in the top speed if he was there

Think his case was about not having a car ffor the 1/4's or the handling course IIRC

 

Even if he wanted to go, his car wasn't ready in time (and still isn't) so just tell them that.

 

His car would have finished pretty highly in the RWD quarters IMHO

And i doubt its as bad on the handling as peopel give it credit for, but obivously not going to mix it up well with the kit cars, but then they cant compete on the top speed.

His car WOULD have been "competitive" IMHO but wouldnt have won.

Why argue over my car its times are there for all to see. It would have been competative at Totb in the RWD class- Top 4 no doubt.

200+ in the mile ( 2nd overall)
High 10 qtr ( Top 4 RWD)
Handling - Average I suppose

This car is now for Sale so someone else could enter TOTB with it, or it will be broken-up. My days of this caper are over.
