Default Zetec headgasket

Can someone give me the FINIS code for THE headgasket to use with zetec turbos. Microcat gives so many 2.0 Zetec headgasket variant and the local Ford guy was lost too. He had one on shelf that he though should be the one for Focus RS too, but it looked terribly. All black and didn't even have any fire rings around the bores. Is this really the one to use?

I'm lead to believe that the st170 one is the one to go with as it's 4 layered.

And it doesn't have any extra oilways etc. for the VVT?

Done some googling around and found pictures of it and it indeed is the same I was offered. Strangely the Cometic gasket looks identical so they probably come from the same factory? Anyhow the googling also gives a thickness of 0.027" for both the original Focus and thinnest Cometic gasket being only 0.68mm ?!? Can this be right? Usually gaskets are closer to 2mm thick.

2mm? Thats a de-comp plate not a headgasket.

Thickest one I ever saw was for an MR2 Turbo I was rebuilding, 1.6mm.

the FRS crushed thickness is 0.5mm

the cometic ones will be exatcly the same, but if you want it thicker all they will do is add more layers

FRS is the way to go

unless your running 600bhp lol?

Hmmm... As standard the Zetec pistons extrude the deck by ~0.4mm. So a 0.5mm headgasket would leave the squish band at 0.1mm thickness.
I think I'll have to get a custom cometic gasket then as I don't want to skim my new custom pistons as they are coated already.

Just to answer myself, I got a ST170 gasket which is a 4-layer all-steel gasket and is 1.0 mm thick, so perfect for me.
