Default Intersting failure, snapped the top of the throttle pedal!

Is an RS500 one and a normal sierra saphire pedal the same?

Im guessing they are?

would look weird if it wasnt when the rest of me is

wish i had kept the spare ones from the 1600 that donated its shell, i bet they were the same

That happened in my Escort cossie a couple of years back
The ball where the cable sat snapped off with part of the pedel.
I just got a m8 to weld it back on

They are not the same.... the pivot point on the standard pedal is further down and the cable attaches differently too

All cossie have the same t pedal which is not the same as any other sierra

my clutch pedal is starting to break on the weld at the top thought i needed a new cable nothing that easy..

so is it a bit of a pig to remove the pedals then??

Doh, thats going to make finding one today a lot harder than i expected then.

I will have a look if i can find a 2.0i ohc one in a scrappy then i guess, they are starting to get quite rare in scrap yards these days compared to a few years ago when there was always a few sierras in every one!

chip, give paul a ring, i expect hes got about 50 million of the buggers

granted you wont get it today but should do tomoz lol

as for how hard are they to remove, one 13mm nut inside the footwell, and one 13mm nut on the bulkhead in the engine bay.

Want to use the car tonight, so will whip it out after lunch and see if i can fix it or find one the same in a local scrappy, if not will call paul.
